Northern Aventi, divided from the rest of Aventi by the great mountain range known as the Bitter Reach and home to the mighty Goliaths, Shifters, and the Frost Jarls of Rheln, is a land of ice and snow - a harsh realm scoured by the winds of the Shattering Sea. Central Aventi, in more recent years known as the Peacelands, contains a number of nations, including the Kingdom of Westmark and the Free-Cities of the Alliance while it also contains the regions of the dangerous, tainted Blightscar and the lawless Badlands. Farther to the south, beyond the massive inland lake known as the Sea of Shattered Sky, is the region often referred to as the Southlands made up of two nations: the ironfisted Republic of Talren and the secretive Elven forest kingdom of Oskorul. Westmark is made up of two provinces and a territory. The eastern province of Lorewyr - known for its coastal trade and the academic bent of its regional capital. The central province of Hartland - home to Ogdenfel, the capital city of Westmark, and from where Queen Rosetta Markenalia IV rules. The tallest mountain on the continent of Aventi, snow shrouds its crags and peaks and above it an ever present storm rumbles. Multiple outcroppings stretch out from it like the jagged spines of a great beast. It is said that mining operations have been attempted within the Dweomermount, expanding on a largely unmapped network of caverns - some attempts lasting for years as they dug into the depths - but, all seemingly ending in tragedy. A forest often referred to in folklore as a bewitched wood with many fey glades, the Darkling Forest is a dangerous place. Insects the size of children, vines that seek to strangle, and other terrors lay within the mist laden branches. The Darkling Forest is bisected by the Darkling River which is perhaps the easiest method of travel from Dweomerhollow up to the northern communities near Bleakshallow Falls or to the north east along the Twin Falls branch of the river. Maya is a strong willed woman who believes everyone has something to offer and that whatever their particular talents are, they should use them for the benefit of the community. She is cleric of Khaine, the god of kings and the king of the gods. Much of Maya’s past before her time in prison is a mystery. She was falsely accused of theft and sentenced to Myrstwaal, where she met the rest of the party. Maya has always longed for a family and she has found just that in her close group of friends. Maya is very protective and will do her utmost to keep her newfound family safe. Alli Maya is played by Alli. Alli loves to roleplay and cannot get enough D&D. She has served in the Talren army in two different wars: the Amerathi Conflict and the Oskorul border skirmishes against the Bright Elves. Her whole life was devoted to becoming a professional soldier, as almost every member of her mother's side of the family has served or is serving in the Talren military to some capacity and Kallina hoped to follow in her mother’s footsteps. After the deaths of her mother and older brother, she threw herself into war to drown out her grief. After being falsely charged with desertion and attempted murder (which she actually tried to do), Kallina had to come to face-to-face with her grief while serving a prison sentence on Myrstwaal, where she met the rest of the party and slowly became comfortable with them. Although she jokes around with her new family and cares for them deeply, she keeps some darker aspects of her past locked away and fears them coming to light. Corey Kallina is played by Corey. Corey is a professional software developer who loves all manner of gaming, board games, video games, and tabletop games. He has been playing D&D since 3.5e, skipping 4th edition, and has played some Pathfinder campaigns before. Corey loves the roleplaying aspect of tabletop games and bringing a character to life. After being imprisoned in a mirror by his witch of an employer, he emerged changed by the time he spent there, and the walls he found himself peering out from over the centuries. With a new outlook on life - no actually his dark vision is crazy now - this “Druid” of the Half Moon Circle finds himself unexpectedly carrying on the grand witch Baghilda’s mantle, for better or for worse, and unlocking secrets of witchcraft he was never meant to. He now explores the new continent, hoping to find his own path in this unexpected wrinkle in time he finds himself thrown into. Disko Alis is played by Disko. Disko is a pizza lover, dice gremlin, and great cook who walks very quickly, and loves his cats. He has been yelling at dice for two years and is incredibly happy to be telling stories.
